Protecting Your Security - Unauthorised Transactions

With the increase in cybercrime, scamming and identity we urge all our customers to be alert, aware and monitor their financial statements frequently, carefully and consistently.

Papaya will never charge amounts to your credit card or bank accounts without your explicit authorisation. Please let us know if you’re unsure about any transactions.

Steps Papaya will take to address incidents of cybercrime as they occur:

  • Report to Relevant Authorities: We will promptly report incidents to external government authorities.
  • Flag with and report to Financial Institutions: Our team will take immediate action by flagging incidents with our banking and payment services to establish the source and impact of the crime.
  • Enhanced Security Measures: We have taken proactive measures to strengthen our security protocols, specifically targeting and blocking potential carding attacks.

Steps we advise if you are a victim of cybercrime:

  • Report the Incident to Your Bank: It's crucial to inform your bank immediately about any unauthorized transactions.
  • Seek Reimbursement: Pursue reimbursement for unauthorized transactions through your bank's dispute resolution process or fraud protection services.
  • Request New Card Details: As a precautionary measure, request that your existing card be canceled and a new card be issued from your bank to prevent further unauthorized use.

If you require further assistance or have any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team at estore@papaya.com.au. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
